Dear Parents and Families,
I would like to extend to you and your child my warmest welcome into our classroom. My name is Amanda Peck, and I am excited to begin a new year and be able to work with your child as his or her 9th grade Living Environment teacher! This will be my student teaching experience, although I have one and a half years experience substitute teaching in a middle and high school. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Eastern Connecticut State University, and a Master's Degree in Teaching Secondary Education grades 7-12 from Le Moyne College. Hobbies of mine include mountain biking, hiking, and photography. I decided to become a science teacher in order to feel like I am contributing to society and the betterment of individuals. That said I am an enthusiastic, creative, and tough educator that will challenge my students to achieve to their highest potential. I am looking forward to interacting with you and your child this year!
