Welcome!

Dear Parents and Families,

I would like to extend to you and your child my warmest welcome into our classroom. My name is Amanda Peck, and I am excited to begin a new year and be able to work with your child as his or her 9th grade Living Environment teacher!  This will be my student teaching experience, although I have one and a half years experience substitute teaching in a middle and high school. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Eastern Connecticut State University, and a Master's Degree in Teaching Secondary Education grades 7-12 from Le Moyne College.  Hobbies of mine include mountain biking, hiking, and photography.  I decided to become a science teacher in order to feel like I am contributing to society and the betterment of individuals.  That said I am an enthusiastic, creative, and tough educator that will challenge my students to achieve to their highest potential.  I am looking forward to interacting with you and your child this year!  It will be my top priority throughout this year to keep the lines of communication open with you to discuss your child’s accomplishments and needs.  Please feel free to contact me by phone at (000) 000-0000, or by e-mail at....

Sincerely,

Amanda Peck Smile
